Group Accountant

• A degree in Accounting, part Qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA and a member of BICA
• 3-5 years experience in Accounting or Auditing environment
• Strong knowledge of statutory requirements
• Advance Microsoft Office Suite Skills
• Proficiency in ACCPACC and Quick books will be an added advantage

• Business/Finance Acumen
• Problem solving and analysis
• Exceptional accounting and reporting skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage complexity and deal with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ethics and reliability

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

• Manage financial systems and budgets
• Undertake financial audits (an independent check of an organization’s financial position)
• Provide financial advice
• Liaise with clients (individuals or businesses) and provide financial information and advice
• Review the company’s systems and analyse risk
• Perform tests to check financial information and systems
• Advise on tax planning (within current legislation to enable them to minimize their tax liability) and tax issues associated with activities such as business acquisitions and mergers
• Maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management information
• Performance of basic hr functions for direct reports
• Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts
